Enjoying the monsoon?

Seen it mentioned a few times now, there calling the current weather we are having the "European monsoon"

Set to continue for most of june, I really hope it's not going to be like this every year here in the uk

Well, I was complaining my water butts were empty..... Not any more!

We are having very wierd weather this year, but so far my veg have survived.

My garden is looking a bit battered, but I think everything has pretty much survived.

Saves me watering my garden/veg, easy peasy lemon squeezy!

And as Peas'n'Kews said, it's fab for filling up your water butt after the recent hot spell depleted the water supply.

Oh & ducks aren't complaining :P

Not that bad? It's horrible weather, I think I'd just like those endless summers I remember as a child, and proper seasons like they used to be, I think you just notice the weather a lot more when you start gardening

Could do with a bit of monsoon here - almost no rain for the last month and the heatwaves at the start and end of May have left everything very dry with recent wildfires in Sutherland and Lewis.

Luckily tourist season is in full swing, which should guarantee a few weeks of solid rain

Monsoon ? You wanna get your knees brown, get out East Mr lah-di-dah gunner Graham!

You may not believe this but at R.A.F. Tengah Singapore, an order came out that officers could use 'self erecting' black cloth brollies, snecos could use the 'manual' black cloth jobs, but the erks had to make do with the brown paper and fish glue jobs! (ribs painted green). Cheers, Tony.
