Nicos how do you tell a 'proper frost' from an 'improper frost?' I'm not really sure what sort we've had now.

Te he.....My definition of a 'proper' frost is one which causes very tender plants to wilt and go all slimey Yuk.
I hate clearing up the slimey mess.

As most of you know I started growing a bit late and transferred my runner beans from home when I got my allotment in late July. The shock of moving and the fear of the dreaded cold have really held them back.....

Therefore...

I have sent a letter to my local MP to bring the subject of our damned weather up at the houses of parliament next week. Hopefully our government will act fast on our behalf? if not I will take it to the high court and failing that, then Europe's finest will have to sort out the frost predicament!

My veggies are living things and for that reason they deserve to see out their life cycle! My efforts to grow them also mean that they deserve pride of place on my Christmas dinner plate!

Come on guys, if we all write in then maybe, just maybe the numpties will help out in our hour of need!
