          Fracking to blame?

                • Well I woke to snowfalkes falling this morning (not literally on top of me in my bed obviously!) but as they fall they melt, so not even a light ground covering....So off to work I went

Sheer coincidence that it looks like a swear word - but it is a good way to describe what they are doing - Fracking stupid.

                      • It's incredibly pretty out there - must get the camera out. I'm very worried about my chooks though, they're hating this and won't come out. They haven't really got room for food & water in the henhouse and they're making a terrible mess. Chookhouse cleaning for me tomorrow, methinks - lovely.

Cats are not impressed, but they're curious....sat lined up in the French windows staring out. We've lit the fire, so they're a bit dithery....shall I watch the white stuff or hit the hearth rug for forty winks?

Been outside to shake the snow accumulations off the buddleia and the fruit trees. They were so bent over I thought they'd snap with any more weight. Don't want to risk the young fruit trees. Think this sner will kill off the forget-me-nots that have spread into the pond. It isn't going to do the honeysuckle or clematis buds any good.....

                        • Crazy snow here. Let the chooks out at around 7ish this morning, by 9.30 my footprints in the garden were pretty much gone!

                          • Same here Chris!! The road is completely white - no tracks at all. I wonder who will be the first up here - will it be the skiers, kids with sleds or the 2 wheel drive idiots who think they know best and end up spinning out of control off the road. Oh, how we laugh

                            • The snow sneaked up on us this morning! I looked out first thing - no frost, no snow, no rain. I was a little disappointed.
Then the cat came in with damp fur - I thought, oh, it has started drizzling.
Looked out of the window and there it was - fine powdery flakes - settling nicely everywhere.
Fortunately I don't need to go anywhere - but it is easy enough to walk up to the shops round the corner if I need anything!
I may go out and get some more wild bird food - the goldfinches are looking peckish!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

                              • Still no sner here.

Mountain roads still closed so all the folks stuck up the mountain are skiing on my snow while we are stuck down here in the rain.
