For those of you who like or want snow, look away now!
After 3 days of looking at exactly the same amount of frozen snow, its starting to thaw The icicles are dripping, the trees are shaking themselves free of their snow burden and the garden is turning green again - in patches. The strangest thing - a huge clump of New Zealand Flax that looked like an upturned white pudding basin, cracking apart at the top and a giant strap of a leaf sprang out - I could sense its delight at being free again.
I know how it feels

Yay...Woke to a white blanket of snow outside this morning (admittedly very thin one)
Boo....Gone already..I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
...utterly nutterly

I've never seen this much snow (here). It's 6" deep at the garden gate. We're a couple hundred yards from the beach, and any snow we do get is normally gone after a day. It's even 8" deep on the beach, on the sandAll gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
