We just had a few big flakes,now it stopped,SAT & SUN forecast now say mostly sunny,but 2c & 7c,wow things,warming up,it will be a change of tune again tomoz i bet,still got a lot of last weeks laying,we had a walk down to asda earler on,it was not that sure under foot,the cambers in the foot paths are no help either,

Still hammering with rain. House gutters are blocked by snow and roof snow-covered so nothing going into the drains. Same on the road outside, where we only have soakaways - clogged with snow - so the water is running downhill, but since half the road is still snow covered its channelled down the middle of the road. Heaven help those who live at the bottom of the hill - hope they have their sandbags ready.

Blizzard started about half an hour ago 2" deep already. VC send me some of that rain over the weekend please, I want rid of this by Monday.

Same here BM. A tractor has just gone down the street with a snow-plough attached heading for the main Yorks-Lancs road, and the bus company is Tweeting that they've suspended all services due to the state of the roads. Same here Sarz, everyone was expecting it except the gritters. Main roads are 4" thick and still no sign. They must be hoping for the rain to wash it away......

Metcheck have just changed the forecast for here, we aren't getting sleet at 3am any more, we're getting more snow and then clear sky and freezing temperatures, so I guess they've been caught on the hop
