  • rust on chives

so due to the p!$$!#g down over the last few weeks my chives appear to have rust ... grrrr they've been growing happily for about 5 years in a pot at home, and this year I decided a herb bed at the lottie would be nice, so I transplanted them into the ground, spread them out so they have more room, and they were doing great ... till I noticed rust today.... spent the last hour trying to find treatment, but ultimately it seems affected leaves of leeks onions etc should be pulled off and burnt. as there's no real treatment.

so with a whole patch of chives that's a bit difficult, innit .... anyone got anything useful or helpful to say? Or do I have to pull em all up and burn em? cheers xx
