  • What could be eating rhubarb leaf?

3 out of my 5 plants have had the leaves eaten, plenty of rabbits, pigeons and squirrels on the plots. Could it be one of them?

Can you describe in what way are they being eaten?...around the edges/big holes/tiny holes/chunks removed?
    A piccie would be useful!

Eaten completely, ragged leaves or just holes? A photo would help.

Well ragged with the veiny bits left says pigeons to me, holes usually slugs or snail.

Cabinet full of air rifles and not allowed to shoot on the plot... so frustrating. All that free organic meat

Well at least I can setup some slug traps and get rid of one pest

Interesting that rhubarb leaves can be poisonous- my chickens never touched them! I have serious trouble with pigeons

My chooks peck them even though I try to stop them. They tear the edges but don't strip it back to the "veins".

My chickens are ruthless - they'd annihilate my rhubarb if I let them.
