Is impregnated with copper to stop slugs and snails

    But does it work

    Found this on internet:

Studies were conducted to evaluate the feasibility excluding slugs from crops by using
copperized fabric barrier. Results showed that slug numbers in protected areas were reduced
when compared to areas not protected by the barrier, but that the reduction was transitory.

I bought some last year to put on my strawberries bed, but never used it so will do this year.
they say when slugs and snails attempt to move onto the fabric they feel discomfort from the tiny positive electric charge given off by the copper and either move off or stay still.
will cut a bit off an sit a slug on it to see what happens, and feedback info

Wonder if it would keep the slugs off my celery. Nothing else has worked so far.

I need to find a live one to experiment on first

My two cold frame beer traps are liberating about 8 3/4inch grey buggers per night at the mo.

What type/volume of sluggific quarry are you harvesting at the mo?

I wonder what effect the fabric has on the tiny little Keel Slugs actually living in the soil below? If it were to disable them, I'd be dead pleased!
