  • What Kind of insect

    Sorry don't have the right sort of camera to post a picture

    I found a (think it was a caterpillar), it was curled up, very fat and soft looking and about 1 1/2" long. Pale greeny white underneath and a slight orange tint to the grubby white colour above. Not seen one of these before, anyone any ideas?

    It sounds as if it may be a cockchafer grub? The birds,or hens if you have them,love them!

      Or a leather jacket. Either way feed it to the hens or squash it.

        Thankyou
        Stupidly put it to one side and forgot about it and it escaped so hens were minus a snack yesterday.
