I was checking some pots of dahlia tubers yesterday and came across some very small vine weevil larvae in the compost. They were discloured, not the usual creamy white. The got squished anyway, but I seem to remember reading that they go a different colour if they are infected with nematoids or something. I can't find any info about it, can anyone help? I hadn't treated the pots with anything.
