  • Tomato leaf problem

Just looked at my tomatoes in greenhouse and one of them has a leaf problem. It looks ok except on the underside of the leaves there are dark blotches, when I hold it up in the sunlight they look a pinky purply colour. Is this a disease and if so any ideas what to do please?

sounds like leaf mould.you need to remove infected leafs, one of the main causes is a lack of ventilation.there is a spray you can use carbendazim ?

Thank you. I'm going to isolate this plant. Is it likely to affect the rest of the plants and should I isolate any others I may find?

          Hi Gemlady

I've noticed my tomato plants have done the same. The plants in the mini greenhouse in on a raised bed have been affected, but the plants in the potting shed are ok. I've just given them a feed to see if that helps. I'm worried that it's early blight as it's been so wet lately

My tom's have developed short pale wriggly lines, it looks a bit like leaf miner damage, but there are none of the usual other signs - like a definite squishy feeling if I squeeze a leaf between finger and thumb.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
