  • compost wigglies

    Hello
Not really sure if I have posted this in the correct place.
I am hoping it is not a pest.
I moved loads of compost yesterday. It contained lots of lovely worms, the red ones.
Then I looked closer and saw some very tiny worm type things they were white or kind of clear looking. Very very small but very wiggly.
Are these a problem as there were quite a lot, but only in small sections.
If these are a problem how do I get rid of them, they were so small I could not imagine having to hand pick them out of the compost.
    thanks

It does not matter what our specific fate is as long as we face it with ultimate abandon.

I had these a few years ago in some stable manure -bit worried at first but looked them up and turned out they are harmless - just helping to break it down.

The name of them escapes me - you could try doing a search for them on the forum though, I certainly mentioned them on here or on the other forum.

all the best to your wormies,

Apparently they are a type of brandling worm and are quite usefull in breaking things down.
