    I have a Disease on my Japanese Acer it has woolly like substances on the joints of the branches can anyone tell me what this is and how do I treat it.

    Any chance of a photo Malcolm? Could be Woolly Aphids I guess.

        Malcolm - if it turns out to be Woolly Aphids on your Acer, you could try a mix of 1 part milk to 9 parts water and spray them (100ml milk/900ml water). You could just try and jet them off with water.

        Don't use anything oily on the tree.
