Hello, im new in our garden, we have loads of mole hills burrowing underground, leaving out veg patch with loads of bumpy hills from moles! whats the best way to get rid of them?
You can't Anyway they were there before you were. Just thank them for all the free seed compost they're giving you, not to mention the lawn aerating they do. You think you've got problems, I've got a pack of terriers that dig up the mole runs in my lawn
Welcome to the forum, BTW. As you can see, we're all a little crazy in here.
Iv'e tried the lot, traps, deterrents, cats and gas. The most effective I have found is the fuses, not that I have killed them but it makes them move away to a less inconvienent part of the garden.

Traps can work but it tends to be a long hard slog to eradicate them. You can buy bulbs that are supposed to deter them, I think they are called spork bulbs.
My dad had a problem with moles. He was told by one of the old boys on his plot to stick some canes about 4 feet long in the ground, with empty plastic bottles upside down on top. Apparently the wind rattles the bottles and keeps moley away.
We were both very dubious about it, but it does seem to be working!!
