Making a weed wiper

Hi,

Has anyone got any tips or links on how to make a weed wiper? Although we are organically managing our veg garden, we also have a largish field which is cronically overgrown with thistles, bracken and nettles. Unfortunately sheep and cattle do not graze these! We would like to try a weed wiper to target these either attached to a quad bike or as a back back option.

Any suggestions or pointers would be much appreciated on how to make one of these ourselves.

I had to look up what a weed wiper is, I got all excited thinking it was some gadget I could use on the plot. Then discovered what they are and realised it's a bit too ott for my needs.
