    I have flea beetles on my turnips, swede rocket and raddish. They have destroyed the foliageand I have read that the larvae are in the roots. Are the roots still edible as although the turnip foliage is bad the roots are still a reasonable size. I dont want to be eating little grubs though!!

    Yes I guess roots would be ok. Isn't it carrot and cabbage fly that tunnel in roots. may be wrong. They definately get bad when the rape seed has gone. and are generally worse for seedlings.

    You need 'Derris dust' organic approved but it is being withdrawn in September by some EU safty rule over accidental ingestion!! so get some soon.
