  • Tiny beetle things on PSB

Just as I am top of all the darn eggs on them (I rub them all off every day), there are now little bugs on them. I am squishing them and they are quite crunchy. Trouble is they often fall off when I go to get them so they are probably jumping straight back on again.

    They are gross.

Off to look them up now. The chap next door to me told me that he has given up on brassicas totally as they are more hassle than they are worth and I am starting to think he was right!

Could be.. but not 100% certain. We do have a lot of rape fields round here. There is no larvae yet though munching on the plants, the beetles themselves are eating them.

Feel all itchy again now, lol

I squished 89 of the little buggers tonight!

Off about 15 plants. Hmmmpf. I will not be defeated. The good news is that only 3 lots of yellow eggs tonight - yay!

Think I've got the same bugs on mine, they're like mini Vine Weevils and eat all through my PSB leaves......can't find them anywhere, unless they are young Vine Weevils, I did squish an adult Vine Weevil near the PSB????
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.
