i reckon you could use curry powder as well, basically anything hot and spicy i think will work ........ oh and i spilled a load on my cooker top, and it came up really clean, ...... so don't get it in your eyes when spraying, spray once or twice a week to keep them away, or every day if theres a problem ...... and rain will wash it off.

Cats - you would have to check but I only use this on my brassicas, which don't get greenfly and it is greenfly and aphids that ladybirds eat.

It acts on contact, so spray the bugs not the plants [although you can't avoid it getting on the plants it is the bugs you are aiming for]....and if you see ladybirds don't spray. Use a small sprayer to try and minimise it going where you don't want it. Also, wear gloves when doing so as it can stay on your hands and you can also pick the caterpillars off the ground when they start squirming and fall off the plant.
