i've sown once a month too ...... now if only i had something to smear vaseline on .... all would be well

I started this fred in honest good faith of expecting an experienced gardener coming along and telling me just how well it works to smear vaseline on your member - erm I mean leek - to prevent it from rusting..and what do I get....

Just wondered.........didn't see the program, so was he using vaseline on the leek that was already affected with rust as a sealant, or was he using it as a preventative measure?
