Strange they’re on the top of the leaf & on a salad leaf?
I haven’t seen any cabbage whites about yet? Ladybird eggs look like that,I’ve had them on a runner bean leaf with two ladybirds close by.Last edited by Jungle Jane; 10-06-2021, 08:52 PM.Location : Essex

That looks like a spinach leaf, so I can't imagine they are cabbage white. The spacing doesn't seem right, either. Large white eggs are laid in very tight clusters, touching each other, and small white eggs are laid singly.
There are many moth species which are quite indiscriminate, however, and will lay their eggs on and then eat pretty much anything. Those are definitely caterpillar eggs of some sort, so whatever hatches out of them will definitely try to eat your salad leaves.
