Strange they’re on the top of the leaf & on a salad leaf?
I haven’t seen any cabbage whites about yet? Ladybird eggs look like that,I’ve had them on a runner bean leaf with two ladybirds close by.

They were on the underside. Can't say I've seen cabbage white or ladybird tbh.

Cabbage Whites are around here, only way is to net them to keep the caterpillars at bay, I tried going round removing eggs and caterpillars by hand, but not really a success and I would not use chemicals.

That looks like a spinach leaf, so I can't imagine they are cabbage white. The spacing doesn't seem right, either. Large white eggs are laid in very tight clusters, touching each other, and small white eggs are laid singly.

There are many moth species which are quite indiscriminate, however, and will lay their eggs on and then eat pretty much anything. Those are definitely caterpillar eggs of some sort, so whatever hatches out of them will definitely try to eat your salad leaves.

I've realised they were on my oriental salad leaves which some have gone to flower.

Oriental leaves have a mix of mustards in them & it’s the mustard oils that attracts the cabbage whites, have you got some net curtain or environmesh?

Those look like cabbage moth eggs. Cabbage white butterfly eggs (large and small) are yellow.
