    Northern Spain... That's quite a cold area in winter. If they can survive there, they might do well in many other parts of Europe.

    I see in Wikipedia they will even take small geckos.

      Yeh…my thoughts exactly Snoop….maybe toads, frogs…maybe mice even?
      Don’t like that they can ‘hide’ underground either Perhaps that’s how they can overwinter?
