Did anyone else hear the item on the Today Programme about the Harlequin Ladybird? http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/today/li...s_20060922.ram
It's spread from Essex to Yorkshire, West Wales, Cornwall.
These are nasty critters - they nip and you can get an allergic reaction => hospitalised. They come into homes in the winter - 100s of thousands of these ladybirds in one home!
Has anyone had them in their garden/allotment? As well as eating aphids, they also eat our lovely ladybirds.
