By using a sprayer you will be applying less water and weedkiller to the weed leaves as you will be 'misting'. A watering can would drench the weed leaf so the water to weedkiller ratio can be less..........if that makes sense?

Be careful with an atomising sprayer as you could get 'drift' (unless it's shrouded of course)
With it being atomised you can't always tell where it's drifting to and if you kill off next doors prize veg they will not be happy.
Let your neighbours know that you are using weedkiller also.

If you can smell it..........you are breathing glyphosate!

In light of what Snadger says about "drift" (my neighbour killed half my plot one year) I'd recommend a small hand-sprayer, not one of those big back-pack jobbies.

I have them in my garden too.It didn't bother me as it was growing only in the back garden but I noticed the new plants at the front in my flower border. So,what now?Try to pull them by hand?(I have tulip bulbs underneath)

It depends how many there are and how dense. You could leave them until the tulips have died down, then lift the tulips and treat the celandines. That is, if they are still visible and have not died off themselves. If there are not too many you could try pulling them out by hand. Unfortuntely the stalks break off easily before you even get to the tiny bulb and I don't know whether, if you leave the bulb in, it sprouts a second time. Does anyone know?

As to informing my neighbour - luckily my infestation runs the whole length of one side of the property which lies alongside a lane, so there are no neighbours where I was spraying so I have not upset anyone. It was good advice 'though! Thanks.

My garden is full of the bloody thing! Your never get rid of it all, the best you can do is leave it in the lawn and anywhere else, and just hoe it out of your borders. I had to do 3 sprays on one bit for it to die off, so aint gonna bother doing it anymore!
