    I admire your dedication to finding out what they are Rachel. I'm pretty sure I would have eliminated the worms/maggots with extreme prejudice, as they call it in the action movies!

      I would be watering the soil with the pesticide `Dipel`...., it kills allsorts of `wormy magotty and caterpiller type things ,and its listed as organic! , it lasts a day or so till it degrades, you can even spray it on food crops straight before harvest

      I used it on some wormy magotty type things i found in the soil and it got rid of them!, not good on normal worms though, but it doesnt go far in the soil and lasts no time so new worms move in with no harm to them within a few days

        DIPEL is only active on caterpillars (and) acts by ingestion. Caterpillars ingest the bacteria on treated foliage and stop feeding within an hour and die 24 to 72 hours later.
