Anyone tried Rattyrun?

I'd heard of this rat deterrent which isn't a poison but the smell is said to make the rats so anxious (!) they leave the area. I found some at Homebase yesterday and it certainly smells bad - like supercharged mouldy garlic, I sprinkled it round my compost bins and will await the results.
No danger to anything else human or animal and all biofriendly ingredients.

I wonder if it will work????

Me too Have noticed I've got them near the chook run again, but am wary of poisons and traps cos they always seem to get the wrong animals on my flamin plot. Don't want to poison the chooks (or risk it) and the snappy traps killed 2 robins last year. Was not happy.

I bought a solar powered rodent deterant that you push into the ground and it sends out vibrations through the soil. It is supposed to make burrowing rodents think that a predator is after them. It also lets off a buzz every 30 seconds that is supposed to disturb them.

Well it is certainly disturbing me when I sit in the shed trying to have a cuppa. Mind you quite a few people have said I'm a rat

Well they haven't been in my dalek compost heap, since I put it down so don't know if they'd taken a day off or its working will keep watching! I might have to put some more down after all this rain though.
I've also experimented with an open compost bin ringed with the ratty run powder and they haven't been in that one either.
The trouble is that the stuff smells so awful I didn't want it in the shed and now I've forgotten where I've hidden it, will have a grand search on Saturday.
