Cheers for that Nicos. I was thinking about looking that out a couple of days ago but forgot.

I am pledging to ignore all blight-related posts until at least July.

Esp. "blight" reports from peeps who have put their spuds out while it's still cold & frosty

Sorry to tell you folks but I most definately have blight (and i didnt plant when it was cold and frosty!). Tried to convince myself that it was either windburn or just the top growth dying back but when i dug a few up for tea tonight......brown, soggy lumps rather than lovely creamy white potatoes! There are some fine ones but it's soul destroying nonetheless isnt it?

do you think i might be too late to save my maincrop if i rush out and buy that dithane stuff i've read about?

I'm registered with Blightwatch and with FAB (Fight Against Blight) - I receive both text and e mail warnings when there is a full Smith Period in my postcode - have received two so far this year.

I've received two full reports and one near miss off one of the reporting services Rat mentions but nothing off the other one andn nothing off either for last week. Everything looking OK so far with the only damage on the leaves being wind damage etc, fingers crossed for nothing bad!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
