carrot aphids/caterpillars

Hi,

Has anyone got any photos of carrot aphids as i have found really small aphid type creatures on my carrots and i would like to find out if they are infact aphids.

i also found some caterpillars on my carrots.

the caterpillars are easy to get rid of, by hand then put on the bird table but has anyone got any ideas of how to get rid of the aphids?

i will try to take some photos tomorrow.

I've never heard of caterpillars on carrots, nor aphids.
Are they peculiar to Germany?

larvae of the Black Swallowtail Butterfly. I'd sacrifice a few carrots for that.

Here is a piccie of the caterpillar, i cant really take a photo of the aphids as they are too small.

As long as i dont have carrot fly, i will be happy.
