  • I don't want to say this too loudly but......

I have noticed that the dreaded lily beetle is conspicuous in it's absence on my lilies this year. Usually by now I'm happily squishing away every evening or as I'm passing. My snakeshead fritilarias escaped being munched as well.
Anyone else missing them or have I just squished so well I've eradicated them.

    Think I've got yours!!
I've found more this year than ever, and i thought i'd done a good job squishing them last year!

Not seen any this year yet and didn't see any last year either. I put it down to moving house as we had loads in the old house. I also moved the lillies into the garden here instead of keeping them in pots and wondered if that made a difference?

Squished one over a month ago and none since. Last year I had hundreds. Cold winter?

They've just appeared here. I have crushed 6 of them in 2 days (and I've only got 3 lilies .. full of holes they are)
