To get rid of rabbits, see if any local farms have any litters of kittens. It will have come from good hunting stock and most farms give them away. Don't spoil it though, otherwise you'll end up with a lazy house cat that costs you a fortune in cat food and turns its nose up at nice freash rabbit.

Did you know that bunny was totally cholesterol free as well.

I am a shooter as well, and I get them every so often for the pot, absolutely beautiful.

Glad to hear that SOME English people like Rabbit. I think they are super and am in the fortunate position to be able to buy them whenever I want to. I would prefer wild rabits though. Any ideas as to how I can stop the hunting cats eating them before I get to them

Feed them a bit more indoors?
My two used to bring live ones in when we lived in the countryside. I, cowardly, took them back to the field and let them go!!

I can assure that they are very well fed indoors Madderbat. Two meals a day plus the odd tit bit

The problem is that all I find in the morning outside the back door is the entrails and if I am really lucky a bit if fur and an ear

Sorry Roitelet, I don't think you can stop the cats getting there first. I used to have a cat who hunted and she brought presents of mice, voles, moles etc bur she never brought a rabbit. Kept them for herself and only ever brought the fur.
Anyway, what I know of rabbits says there should be plenty for everyone out there. Enjoy.

I love rabbit and have plenty to go at, my plot is sustaining the whole of the northwest population I think. I am fencing the whole thing to keep them out we can shoot them but there are trillions they must be breeding like, well like rabbits
