I replanted my cherry tree successfully a couple of years ago- its first good crop of cherries was last year. This year it is INFESTED (had to put capitals there are so many!) with black fly. I have had many suggestions mostly involving chopping the tree down - a bit drastic and really not my prefered option. The tree is approx 25ft tall and the infestation seems to have started at the top and is mostly down one side, there are thousands if not millions of the little darlings. I need the quickest fix possible as the cherry intertwines with my beautiful 100 year old apple tree and I fear the fly is spreading
