I harvested a lot of my squash yesterday and whilst I was cleaning them for storage noticed there were a lot of bugs on them. The description is like a worm with tiny legs a bit like a centipede. They were all about half an inch long with quite a tough armoured body. I don't know what they are and can't find them on google. They were in actually in the vine at the neck of the squash not in the fruit itself. Anyone know what they are and what harm they can do?

No nothing like those. Maybe more like a millipede but very small. It curled like a worm would do. I'll have another look and see if I can identify it.

Nope I've had a really good search and come up blank. Maybe armoured caterpillar is a better description. They were brown in colour with white underside. When I harvest the next batch I'll take a picture if there are any. Its definitely not vine larvae.
