  • peppers - slugs?

    Hello

all my sweet peppers this year have ended up with little holes in them. could this be slugs? cattapillas?

i have looked but i cant see any of the little pests

i am growing in grow bags in the green house - and i am now thinking of just getting rid of the plants as everyday i am just throwing away more peppers

    what do other people think?

I was having the same problem i just go into the greenhouse about twice a week when it is dark with a torch and scoop the out then put some salt or pellets on the floor

I think it's Snails....I found holes in some of mine....couldn't see any evidence of slime trails but decided to put a few slug pellets around the base of the Peppers (grown in buckets in the greenhouse) and the next day, hey ho, dead Snails!!
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

Mine is a similar problem as the OP, but I suspect it might be worth the effort of putting down some pellets and salt....

Strange though, as we've got 4 different types of chilli and only 1 of them seems to be suffering (dorset naga - presumably, they like their chilli hot, these snails.....)

got to be worth a try though...

        regards
