Black patches on ivy,what are they?

Hi About 3 weeks ago I brought back from my parents house a healthy devils ivy that had been there for years. Two weeks ago these weird dark patches appeared. This looks differnt from verigation and the leaves have gone limp. I have racked my brain but can not think whats wrong.

Any ideas on whats wrong and can what I can do to make it better?

The blotches look odd - I have no suggestions other than to look at them really closely for pests/disease - unusual for this plant. The droopy leaves look like more of a physiological problem to me. Pothos don't like to be under - or over - watered so check the root ball - it shouldn't stand in water or be too dry. Lastly it doesn't like to be in a draft - (who does?)

I'm not risking anything and after what you said Jeanied I have brought him in to the living room, as the poor thing was in the portch.I watered him today so I won't water him for a while and hopefully that might do you the job. I hate not knowing how to make something better.

I've just re-read your post and realised it's devil's ivy the houseplant, not normal English ivy. Der.

Don't worry Two Sheds.I've printed off the info as what effects english ivy might effect devils ivy.
