Like some others on the Vine, I subscribe to Blightwatch and receive text alerts whenever a blight alert (a full Smith period) is invoked for my postcode - most of my tatties are only just peeking through the ground as we had a very late planting period up here due to the prolonged frosts - and I have received two blight alerts in the past 5 days !! Hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
