mmm Earwigs... Spray or not??

Hiya everyone.

New here so hello... My first dilemma..

Earwigs... They LOVE my Basil and Sage.. Now they've found my Runner beans.
They make holes in everything. i've tried stalking them and removing them, traps dont work so i went to the Garden Centre and they pointed in a NATURAL Organic Type that might help but it's made Some of my Basil go speckled Brown (obviously i've removed those leaves)

Can you help with Tips???

the only way to get them is to stuff a flowerpot with straw or shredded paper, on top of a 12" cane.
They will gather in this hotel overnight, dispose of them in the morning.
