Courgette infestation

Wandering round the garden today I found one of my courgette plants has become infested with something, pics attached. Anyone know what they are and the best way to get rid of them?

I reckon they are pollen beetles Hotstuff, - they look more of a problem than they are.

Thanks Jeanie, does that mean I can just leave them? I mean they don't look particularly nice, but as long as they're not going to affect my courgette harvest I can co-exist with them.

If you want to see lots of them hang a yellow tee-shirt on the line! They are a menace where there's oilseed rape growing too. Otherwise, just a nuisance.

I used to get them on my sunflowers. Used to grow them for cutting for the house- no matter how much I shook them- there were always a few walking around the table tops a day or so later

Thanks all, it's just that my courgettes didn't do too well last year, so I'm really crossing my fingers for my first ever glut this year

Lol! When I saw the title I thought you were looking for ways to get rid of vast quantities of courgettes! I think that might be the case this year if the good weather continues.

Sorry I'm late to this, but yes, pollen beetles:they love yellow.

I got a load on some mauve sweet peas today too
