Wandering round the garden today I found one of my courgette plants has become infested with something, pics attached. Anyone know what they are and the best way to get rid of them?

I reckon they are pollen beetles Hotstuff, - they look more of a problem than they are.

Thanks Jeanie, does that mean I can just leave them? I mean they don't look particularly nice, but as long as they're not going to affect my courgette harvest I can co-exist with them. There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't.

If you want to see lots of them hang a yellow tee-shirt on the line! They are a menace where there's oilseed rape growing too. Otherwise, just a nuisance.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

I used to get them on my sunflowers. Used to grow them for cutting for the house- no matter how much I shook them- there were always a few walking around the table tops a day or so later"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
