Willows

My willows are losing all their leaves, new growth started to appear and then dissapeared again. I had a look at my neighbours willows and they are looking the same. Leaves turn black and then fall off.

Any reason why this is happening please?

Just wondering if they have contracted some disease or other.
Have you checked they are getting enough water?

They receive lots of water, I live in the north of scotland. Up to now they have grown lovely.
