What pest would have caused this bite (tomato)

Green Sausage Tomato - in greenhouse, next to lourve (opening slightly). Can't see any slime trial, but there are flies in the greenhouse, so wondering if it's a tunneling thing, or wasp?

Oh yes, there'll be a caterpillar all snuggled up inside. They do it to my chillies too

gross, dirty things. I cut it open and didn't spot anything right off - composted it anyway Still, rather this than injesting pesticides

if there were tiny grooves in the hole somehwere, it's a rat/mouse
