  • Slugs attack!

Picked off 30 baby slugs that had launched an attack on my peas tonight, I only noticed because mother was eating my rabbits dinner (why don't rabbits eat slugs ). So be warned, the little blighters are awake and hungry after winter and it's not yet March.

Thanks for the warning Garden Fan, but I found the slugs today too - in my tattie buckets !

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

      GardenFan,
However many times I have read your posting above, it still reads that your Mother is eating your Rabbit's dinner, and that the likes of her, the little blighters, are awake and hungry after winter.... and it's not yet March.
Does your Mother not feel hungry before March as a general rule?
Any chance you could put me out of my misery?
Failing that, could you please send round those lovely people in the starched white clothing to take me away....
      Trousers might be grateful !

Thought someone was watching the late night movie on Scifi channel and getting confused with their posting, from the thread title.

I picked half a dozen baby snails off my narcissus this afternoon. Mashed 'em - no mercy

yes, its true they are about! i caught a lil slug the other day happily munching on one of my broadbean plants
needless to say he was severely told off and evicted straight away
However i now have a friendly robin on my side - when i was repotting my peas this little robin came right beside me, found a slug and ate it whilst still staying right beside me! ate the whole thing

What do you normally feed your mother on, mine likes slug food (cabbage spinach ......)
