  • "actively growing" weeds?

ive bought some lawn weed killer because my lawn is now 80% weeds and it says i have to use it on actively growing weeds. how do i know if they're actively growing? does it mean if they have flowers? (which 98% of them are just leaves) and since it says i can only do 1 application a year i wanna make sure it gets rid of them

I haven't used anything like this, but I did maybe do it as the weather warms back up in the Spring? I will watch with interest as this develops.

If you still need to cut the grass each week the weeds will be actively growing. Better get a move on though as weedkiller is not worth applying after the first frosts!

I think you're probably a bit too late for this year but as you've already bought it you might as well use it. Active growing season is usually May to September.

well theres that.. and also every spring the grass decides to go crispy and die leaving massive patches of mud so ive got some 'drought resistant' grass seed i was hoping to get down but ive got more than enough to do 1 sowing now and one in the spring (in case the first sowing doesnt work )

The only drought resistant grass I know of is astroturf!
