Do scarecrows work?
We have loads of pigeons, magpies and pheasants at the lotty so I've resorted to building cages covered in netting to protect some of the crops. Problem is the uncovered crops still get nibbled and I don't want to have to cover the entire plot.
Think I might build a scarecrow wearing a florescent orange jacket. I can predict what will happen though, I'll keep seeing it out of the corner of my eye and think it's a person!
