don't be too over zealous with the weeding. If you have bare soil, more weeds will germinate... and on, and on...

If you allow the weeds to grow a bit bigger, you will be more easily able to id them (from your carrots); they will shade out other weeds; you'll have more greenery to put on the compost heap; and more time to sit and enjoy the view

Pulling tiny weeds every time you're at the plot is soul destroying stuff... and the free compost is great... as long as you remember to kill perennial roots before chucking them on the heap!
