  • Bluetit Damaging Leaves!

    Hi there,

Wasn't sure where to ask this question, so I hope it's OK to post here. There are some Bluetits in my garden behaving really strangely! I've watched them dashing around all my pots, herbs and fruit especially, snipping or yanking at the leaves and flying off with little pieces. They seem particularly partial to my sage and oregano, so these are starting to look quite tattered. Does anyone know why they are doing this? Hoping I can offer them something else!

They always behave strangely LOL. It's just part of their nesting ritual! If you could hang out bits of wool, feathers, hair ie: from a cat/dog it would take their attention away from your plants.
But then again being Blue-Tits maybe not!! But hey it's part of their fun nicking bits ofour plant'seaves lol.
