  • Fly. Friend or foe?

    Afternoon all.

    This fly was lurking round my parsnip seedlings. I'm not sure what he was up to but he had a really shifty look about him. I'm sure he was up to no good.





    Any idea what it is please? Sorry about the lousy pictures.

    Might be a type of hoverfly? Can't really tell (it looks like an ant from here)

    It's not anything I recognise, so don't worry too much

      It's a cuckoo bee, apparently. Nothing for my parsnips to worry about, at least.
