I've googled and googled.....
We've got loads of aphids on the tips of the wormwood.
(I'm 98% sure they're aphids cos of their shape and size and gathering and little babbies with them)
They're a bit strange - both in looks and presence-
firstly I thought wormwood wouldn't be attacked by aphids cos it's one of the things you're supposed ( unofficially!) to add to water and spray as a deterrent to aphids...but also I don't have a camera which will go down that micro so I'll have to describe them.
Firstly they're grey with a black dot on the top/back of their abdomen.
Then ( now here's the interesting bit....) they sort of twitch and turn on the spot- all almost at the same time.
And when squished...eww...there's a bright orange liquid which covers your fingers.
I've never ever heard of /seen these before
Anyone got an idea??? ( go on- I challenge you...can anyone find out??????)
( tis bound to be something ever so common in Northern France isn't it????)
should you accept this challenge.......
