  • What are these?

Today I found, on the peppers and Basil, strange orange things! They are 1 - 2 mm long and move quite fast. They have 6 legs situated towards the front of their body and from time to time Stand up on their tails and wave around. They are concentrated round the soft growing tips of the plants and when huddled together look like blobs of rust.

Sorry I can't photograph them they are too small. Any ideas what they are and are they friend or foe?

BTW the plants are in a make shift greenhouse thing with toms and aubergines which are not affected. They are definately not red spider.
