  • the rabbits again!

i am the lucky person who got the plot where the rabbits live! i was talking to another plot holder today, who has alot of non-rabbit munched veg and he doesnt have his plot completely fenced in, he said his trick to was to use chicken pellets. he said the amonia in the pellets deters the rabbits

i was going to give it a go. has anyone else tried this? successful or not? i've been told so many different ways to stop them! i just want to eat my veg before they do!

personally, I think lead pellets may be more effective. .. Interesting though, do let us know how you get on. I'd be for investing in some rabbit netting myself though.

haha! that was my first thought, but its harder to get permission than i thought!

i'm going to try it at the weekend. fingers crossed that it works. although, a cat has been spotted on my plot and a few dead rabbits!

just out of interest, one of my customers treated a wasps nest in a small conifer with a spray foam treatment. She spilled some onto the grass below. The next day, she had two dead young rabbits within 20 ft of the conifer and the grass has now died as well. Must be really toxic stuff.

          Get a pet fox?

Can you not just fence off your plot?

Or you need to hire FB. - then put the slow cooker on!

Edit: interesting link/product, Fiona! Wonder if it's work on my chickens!

thanks for the advice and link.

theres no point fencing off my plot, they're already in! lol. i put some pellets down at the weekend and i'm hoping when i go down later to water my carrots and cabbage, they'll still be there to water!
