  • What got under my fleece

    Hi
I was out in the sunshine yesterday (got to stay at home and work today, big groan) and was weeding my raised beds when I lifted the fleece on one I found my seeds all over the place, something had been digging. Radishes, pickling onions, turnips and kohl rabi all over the place, It looked as if it had only been recent, seedlings wilted rather than dead where they had been uprooted. There were two holes dug out, looking as if you had scooped out the earth with your hand to give you an idea of size. No pooh that I could see, so what could get under the fleece to dig and why?

What a shame Sue. Do you have squirrels. Sounds like something they would do.

In my garden it's cats. They dig and scrape. Fortunately they poo on the paths not the beds but they raked up one of my broadies as it was emerging. I believe you can compost them!

I had that problem yesterday, two kittens decided to play where I had sown beetroot and lettuce the ground was covered over and I had pyracantha cuttings to discourage them. They hadn't used the area as a toilet just rolled around.

              Hi
No crap and no footprints... but squirrils that's a possibility. I'm still puzzled as to how they got in there and why, not had this problem before.
              best wishes

Every day I have foxy footprints over my fleece, and the odd rip and tear.
